GRUMMAN F6F HELLCAT
About the model:
This Hellcat is a re-issue of a very popular Slope Scale model. The fuselage now sports a revised cowl and hatch plus an integral fin and rudder.
It has a 46" wingspan and an average build will probably end up with a 48 to 54 oz AUW range.
Bringing this one to life was a collaboration between a few people : TFLG did the bulk of the fuselage plug work. Carl Maas contributed the windscreen details and the cowl mold. Joe Cormier and I collaborated on producing the new fuselage mold.
I will be laying up most of the fuselages and producing all of the wood kits with the wing cores and plans coming from TFLG.
The standard wings have a foam core, to be sheeted with blasa skins and have basswood leading edges and balsa trailing edges.
As usual we are supplying a Short Kit consisting of a fiberglass fuselage, cowl, propeller hub, hatch, wing cores (RG series foil) and plans.
A Wood Kit is available ...... Yes, prices have gone up an average of 50% since last year. Y'all have felt the inflation one way or another so 'nuff said.
Obviously you can source the balsa wood from the LHS yourself and invest in the elbow grease of shaping basswood leading edges and sanding trailing edges.
The cost for the kits is listed below:

These days raw materials prices are very volatile, so we need to order them ASAP ....otherwise the cost might go even higher!
So if you ordered the Full Kit last year and enjoyed how quickly and neatly all the parts went together, don't wait.

1. Figure out what you need and do the math.
2.Go to PayPal and initiate the payment to mtaraz@san.rr.com
3.Before pressing “Send” ..... enter in the “Notes” field the following:
- Your Real name.
- Your RCG name.
- Your order list ( hopefully it matches the $ you are sending!)
- Your shipping address ( if you need the stuff shipped to you)
- Your email address ( especially if it is other than the PayPal email you are using)
4.Mark your payment “Gift” or “For Friends and Family” so we don't get dinged for the $10 PayPal fee.
5.Press “SEND”.
Please post a reply in this thread to alert us that you have paid up…. It helps us double check your order and make sure it doesn't fall through the cracks. It might even encourage your friends to sign up too, if they haven’t already.

I will list the paid participant in the next post below . As before, the names are not in any particular order.
We usually give priority to the guys that can get planes built and done for the Fest ...... and among them those who can pick up their kits on the build day will be the first to receive their kits.
We have no idea how many are planning to participate in this build compared to last year and supplies might run out. So join and pay early if you want in.
