The bike comes with an updated and improved Yamaha SyncDrive Pro2 motor that can kick out up to 85Nm of torque.

It’s a powerful beast and operates smoothly, with an intuitive power delivery that kicks in and out of assistance intelligently.

The pedals and motor seem completely at one with each other and it operates silently too.

The e-MTB comes with 150mm of travel at the front end and 140mm at the rear.

It’s fitted with FOX 36 Performance Elite Live Valve forks and FOX Float X Live Valve shocks – it’s an outstanding pairing that really delivers when things get challenging on the trails.

It doesn’t have the highest level of travel for the gnarliest downhill parks, but it’s still a damn good descender and it’s a playful set-up for flat or enduro riding.

The bike comes with a mullet wheel set-up, with a larger 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear.

The 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain is just as impressive, with a tremendously smooth feel to the shifting and high responsiveness.

This is an elite standard women’s e-MTB, which has fantastic components throughout its design.

It’s a highly versatile ride that can take on challenging descents, climbs nimbly and takes on technical terrain with a flourish.

The small battery won’t suit everyone and it’s best suited to a fit rider, but for those that have the lungs and the legs – it’s an absolute dream of an e-MTB and our best women’s electric mountain bike.

It’s a carboned framed e-MTB, with an aggressive geometry, which is geared up for flat-out and technical riding.

The frame is slightly shorter than the standard version, with a slightly lowered top tube. The weight remains light too, weighing in at 22.4kg, offering up a playful handling experience.

The bike feels at home on complex trails and the frame has great impact dissipation, which soaks up any nasty shocks, without passing them through to the rider’s body.

The bike comes with an enormous 900Wh SRAM PowerPack battery, which provides a top range figure of more than 180km.

It’s a highly efficient battery that was produced as part of a collaboration project between Canyon and SRAM.

You can even push out more than 100km with plenty of climbing in the mix.

The battery is all the more impressive considering the bike’s relatively low weight figure.

The e-MTB comes with Shimano EP801 motor, which emits up to 85Nm of torque.

It certainly delivers in the power department, making the bike a confident climber and nimble thanks to the low weight.

However, the power delivery can feel slightly jerky at times and it isn’t the most natural.

The bike comes with 150mm of travel at the front and 155mm at the rear.

It’s fitted with RockShox Lyrik Ultimate forks and RockShox Superdeluxe Ultimate Flight Attendant Shocks – a burly set-up capable of taking on some very technical terrain.

A brilliant trail bike that is capable of taking on some rough and ready terrain, while also offering an enormous range and top-end components from top to bottom.

This is a huge statement from the crew at Canyon and if you can afford to pay the enormous price, it’s worth pulling the trigger.

The Intrigue X E+2 has been specifically designed for women and the frame reflects that, with a diagonal top tube, rather than a high-raised flat one, which can be uncomfortable and difficult to get on and off.

It’s an aluminum-framed e-MTB, but retains a low weight, with the small framed model (which we used on our test rides) coming in with a total weight of 22kg.

That makes it easy to handle and move around through the trees and on fast flowy trails.

It has a compact geometry, to offer ease of use for a smaller rider and is our best electric mountain bike for a short female.

Despite the low weight, the bike still offers a decent range in the battery, which is a custom 625Wh EnergyPak Smart System.

That provides a top range figure of around 120km, but reduces if you throw in a lot of enormous climbs – it’s still a respectable range for a lightweight bike.

The battery performs well, releasing its power conservatively and ensuring you hit those top range figures regularly – that offers you comfortable reliability when you head out for a ride.

The battery is also compatible with the company’s range extender, which offers another 250Wh for you to use and allows you to hit up to around 180km if you ride with both.

The bike is fitted with a Yamaha SyncDrive Pro motor, which kicks out a chunky 80Nm of torque.

When you combine the powerful motor with the bike’s light-weight you can scamper up some tricky climbs with ease.

It offers a smooth power delivery too, kicking into life calmly and easing off intuitively too – the seamless feel to the motor lends itself to women riders, by not offering a powerful jerking sensation, which can be difficult to handle.

The e-MTB comes with 150mm of travel at the front and 140mm at the rear.

It comes with a plush pair of FOX 36 Float Rhythm forks and FOX Float DPS Performance shocks – it’s a well-balanced suspension set-up that provides enough give to take on some rowdy trails.

However, it’s reserved enough to ensure you can climb without feeling spongey or too sluggish on the flats.

The bike comes with a mullet-style set-up with a 29-inch in the front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear – it’s a versatile option, which gives you a good, planted grounding on the trail, but also playfulness in the rear end.

The rims are provided by Giant with their AM model at either end and they’re coated in a Maxxis Assegai front tire and a Maxxis dissector rear tire.

The tires provide a strong amount of grip, allowing you to push the bike hard into the corners and also helping to offer a firm bite for climbing too.

The e-MTB is fitted with Shimano Deore BR-M6120 brakes, which aren’t the most impressive we’ve ever come across.

They’re a lower-spec Shimano model and you can feel that when you’re pushing the bike to the limit – they don’t always offer complete reliability and you can feel a little slow to halt when needed.

The bike also comes with a 12-speed Shimano CS-M6100 drivetrain – it’s more reliable than the brakes, providing smooth and seamless shifting.

We’re impressed with the Intrigue X E+2 – Liv’s ingenuity and experience in manufacturing dedicated e-MTBs for women is clear.

The frame is perfect for women, offering a comfortable positioning and a lightweight, which makes the bike easy to handle.

It’s a well-balanced trail bike, with a playful suspension and great electrical figures, allowing you to climb, descend and still feel pacy on the flats.

The Contessa Strike eRide 910 comes with the company’s women-specific aluminum frame, which features a diagonal top tube, which is easier for women to navigate over, rather than an uncomfortable high-raised top tube.

The diagonal top tube also helps prevent injuries to the groin during a crash, as you have more space to drop down off the seat without any impact on the frame.

The bike weighs in at 23.8kg – it isn’t the lightest, but you have some powerful electrical components, which take the edge off that top-weight figure.

The geometry is compact and it has an ease of handling, which lends itself to a lighter rider.

The bike is fitted with a 625Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, a tremendous model, which offers a high level of reliability.

You get a top range of around 150km on one charge, a respectable figure given the bike’s weight.

The battery operates intelligently with the motor, ensuring you hit those top-range figures regularly and you don’t lose out too much even on the climbs.

The e-MTB is fitted with a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, one of the best in the business.

It provides a chunky 85Nm of torque, which makes the bike a beast on the climbs and speedy on the flats.

The power delivery is beautiful, kicking in smoothly and easing off intelligently too – it makes riding through technical terrain a dream, without any overshoot or nasty drag.

The suspension set-up is well-balanced – you get 140mm of travel at the front end and 140mm at the rear, which makes the bike a good all-rounder, capable of both climbing and descending adeptly.

It comes with Marzocchi Z2 Air forks and X-Fusion NUDE Trunnion shocks – they aren’t the most advanced components, but they do provide a decent amount of cushioning and they allow you to take on some challenging trails.

The e-MTB is fitted with a middle-of-the-road pair of 29-inch Syncros MD30 wheels, which offer a stable footing on the trail.

They’re surrounded by a pair of Maxxis Rekon tires that offer a firm bite and reliability when out pushing the bike hard.

The e-MTB is fitted with Shimano MR-MT520 4-piston brakes, which if we’re honest, feel a little under-gunned for the weight of the bike – we would prefer to see a higher spec model, which would allow you to push the bike more.

However, the bike is fitted with a cracking 12-speed Shimano NX Eagle drivetrain, which provides pacy shifting.

Scott has created a well-rounded women’s e-MTB here, with a frame design that takes into account the needs of a woman, with a compact geometry and a lightness in the handling.

It also comes with a wonderful electrical package, offering a big range, immense power, and a great user experience.

There are a few areas to improve, such as the brakes and the suspension, but overall, we think this is a good women’s electric mountain bike.

The bike weighs in at a featherweight 17.4kg, which makes it incredibly nimble on trails, with a lightness in the handling.

The super-lightweight carbon frame makes it very playful in all settings and the design is women-friendly with a shorter frame design and relaxed top tube angle.

The bike climbs and descends nimbly and you feel composed through technical twisty sections thanks to the lightness in the handling.

A key feature in the bike’s design is to make it feel as natural as possible, to mimic the feel of a conventional mountain bike.

To ensure that’s possible Specialized has kept the weight low and one of the key ways they’ve done that is by installing a low-power battery – it only comes with an SL1-320Wh custom model.

It doesn’t provide a huge top range, in fact, we found we could only push out under 50km on one charge.

That won’t suit all riders and that’s why we’ve highlighted that it’s best suited to an experienced rider, with a high level of ability.

The e-MTB is also fitted with a reduced power motor, for the same weight-saving reasons.

You only get 35Nm of torque in the custom SL 1.1 motor and it means the bike doesn’t pack the biggest punch to get you up seriously tricky climbs.

There is a lot of emphasis on the rider’s body and ability. Still, the 35Nm does provide a small level of assistance and the power delivery is wonderfully smooth, which helps contribute to the natural feel of the riding experience.

The bike feels particularly self-assured on complex and technical trails thanks to the 150mm of travel at both the front and the rear.

It’s fitted with FOX Float 36 Factory forks and FOX Float DPX2 Factory rear shocks – it’s a plush suspension set-up, which feels silky smooth through challenging drops and during big impacts.

However, it doesn’t feel too spongey, so the bike also climbs well too.

The bike comes with a super lightweight pair of Roval Traverse SL carbon rims, which help contribute to the lightness in the handling.

Despite being carbon, they do offer durability too, with a complex compound that helps soak up impacts.

In the tire department you get a solid Eliminator Grid Trail tire at the front and a reliable Butcher Grid Trail at the rear.

The bike is fitted with a pair of Magura MT7 brakes, which are some of the most powerful ever created and they offer immense stopping power.

That’s then rounded off with an immense 12-speed SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS drivetrain.

This e-MTB is dripping in high-spec components and it’s targeted at elite-level riders and those with a high level of experience.

Its lightweight, ease of handling, and unisex frame design, make it a good option for women with a high fitness level, who want to take on high-quality enduro riding.

It’s also currently on sale and has dropped in price by nearly $4,000 in recent months.

We mentioned it was a seriously light e-MTB and it is – it weighs in on the scales at 16.35kg, which makes it one of the lightest e-MTBs ever manufactured.

It’s seriously pacy as a result and has a light-touch handling experience, making it nimble between the trees and on the climbs.

The low weight makes it an attractive proposition for many women riders, particularly if they’re focused on XC riding.

It’s a unisex ride, rather than a women’s specific e-MTB, but the geometry does lend itself to a woman rider without any issues.

We would only recommend the bike for a fitter rider, as the battery’s range isn’t the most impressive.

It has been kept low to ensure the bike remains light and pacy, but for people who need a lot of assistance the 250Wh Fazua battery won’t offer enough help in the electrical department.

You only get a range of 75km.

The Fazua Ride Trail 50 motor performs better, offering up a top torque figure of 58Nm.

It makes the bike an adept climber, particularly when you factor in the bike’s low weight.

The power delivery is also incredibly intelligent, operating seamlessly with the pedals – it kicks in smoothly and eases off smoothly, making it easy to handle and harness.

That makes it a decent option for lighter males and many women riders.

The bike has a sporty geometry set-up, which is designed to encourage speed and retain traction on the trail.

You only get 120mm of travel in the forks and 60mm in the shocks – that limits the bike on rougher and wilder terrain.

However, it’s designed for cross-country style riding and the amount of travel lends itself to fast flowy riding.

You get RockShox SID Ultimate forks and Trek IsoStrut shocks – they operate smoothly and provide a comfortable riding experience on undulating terrain, but they feel out of place on wilder routes.

We’re immensely impressed with this e-MTB – it’s a top option for competitive women who want to take on XC riding.

When looking for a ladies’ e-MTB you should focus on the frame size as a starting point. Women’s bikes tend to be slightly shorter in the frame and have also have different top tube designs, with a gentler, sloping angle, rather than a harsh and horizontal one.

Women’s bikes also tend to be lighter on average and easier to handle, to take into account the average woman’s smaller build compared to a man.

Dagerholm’s Custom Scott Lumen SL is the lightest e-MTB ever created, weighing in at 12.9kg.

However, that one isn’t an e-MTB designed specifically for women.
